Jefferson Patterson Park is a 560-acre estate on the National Register of Historic Places and is the state of Maryland's Museum of Archaeology and history. JPPM is located in the heart of Calvert County along the Patuxent River with miles of shoreline and inland nature walking trails, an authentic Eastern Woodland Indian Village education site with oral interpretation, the Pavilion Complex, which can be rented for weddings and receptions, family reunions and other gatherings and the Visitor's Center, home of the Louis Goldstein Gallery, a children's Discovery Room, mini-theatre and the Show Barn Museum Gift Shop, filled with artwork, unique handcrafted pottery patterned after pottery shards found at the Park, educational toys and books, hand-crafted jewelry and much more. |
