Young Professionals Network
WHAT WE DO
The mission of the Young Professionals Network (YPN) of Calvert County is to to unite and support the future community leaders of Calvert County, with a focus on and commitment to Networking, Professional Development, and Community Involvement.
Each quarter, YPN organizes two networking events and one community involvement project. Networking events are held at various Calvert Chamber member businesses and community involvement projects support local nonprofit organizations and community events. Since its inception, YPN has already supported Calvert Hospice, The Judy Center, Relay For Life of Calvert County, United Way of Calvert County, Project ECHO Homeless Shelter, and The Arc of Southern Maryland.
As part of an ongoing commitment to professional development, YPN also partners with the College of Southern Maryland to present Lunch & Learn events twice annually.

WHO'S CONSIDERED A "YOUNG" PROFESSIONAL?
They get this question all the time since these events are about providing networking and social opportunities for young professionals in SoMD!
While they won't exclude anyone from participating in any of our groups or events based on age, generally they consider a "young professional" anyone between the ages of 21 and 40 in any career field who is looking to grow, learn, and connect with others in the junior- or mid-levels of their careers.
